Alternative treatment for ADHD?

Question by Drake: Alternative treatment for ADHD?
Hello. I am 17 years old and was diagnosed with ADHD at age 5. It has always been very severe. I took pills for it until i was 11 but then i got off of them because i absolutely cannot take pills well.

Well after several years of failing classes i am starting to get sick of zoning out within 30 seconds of teachers talking. and making poor decisions made by me. I have recently been doing some research that has made me come to the conclusion that it may just be the ADHD causing some of my troubles.

Is there any treatment that does not involve pills that would help me. The only thing i have been found i am allergic to is oxycoton.

Yes, there are alternatives to drug therapy. Check out CHADD – Children and Adults with ADHD for support and resources.
Also go to MedlinePlus and type ‘ADHD’ into the search box. You’ll find more info there including a recent news item on restrictive diets helping control ADHD.

Don’t give up, you can win out over your ADHD!
