Treatment Resistant Depression?

Question by Buster: Treatment Resistant Depression?
How many of you suffer from Treatment Resistant Depression and have not found anything to be of long term help.

Question; have you had your Thyroid tested, and what type of medication are now you taking for it. I am sure most of you are going to say Synthroid. If this this the case I have some good news for you.

I am not a doctor but want to start becoming a therapist, I am just curious and also want to have some insite as to how many others have problems with depression/anxiety and a thyroid issue. I also have some insite that may be of a lot of help to you. Check back when this closes out; after reading your replies I will leave e-mail on how I can be contacted. Yes this is an honest question I am asking, and I want to help others out as much as I can.

Have you tried all of the meds?

Answer by jennifer d
I have suffered from Treatment Resistant Depression. I took 3 meds for a year before feeling “normal”. It took several years to find the right combination of meds. I had my thyroid tested, and was told all levels were in the normal range. However, my mother was diagnosed with thyroid cancer and Hashimoto’s while her levels tested as “normal”.
